Anti Aging
It is only natural that as people get older they want to continue looking young so the regular use of anti-aging skin care products is becoming the norm. It makes up about a quarter of the total protein content of structural protein found in skin. Anti-oxidants are also part of this same group, all related to reducing the signs of ageing.
You probably know many anti-oxidants by name, including vitamin C, the use of which is still, even now, hotly debated in the science and nutrition community. Many skin care treatments have vitamin C as a base, the problem is that they can become oxidized when they come into contact with the air while being used.
Manufacturers are trying alternative skin care treatments to vitamin C that do not have this oxidization problem or cost as much to produce. Unfortunately the anti-oxidant products used to replace vitamin C are not as effective but as vitamin E and lipoic acid can both have the same effect; this is not too much of a problem.
Exposed Acne Skin Care Products
Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant and component of human blood whose purpose is to help increase the body’s immune system against diseases including cancer. Lipoic acid is found in all our cells and helps in generating energy, keeping us alive and functioning.
Phytochemicals can’t be made by the body but are extracted from a number of plants used in anti-ageing skin care products. A more important us of photochemicals is the benefit they have on prevention of prostate, breast, and colon cancers.
Some B-vitamins like B5, B6 and B12 are also in use for anti-ageing skin care products. The use of anti-ageing skin care products is a huge scientific field to research and has far greater potential than just producing goods that reduce the visible signs of age.
In time new discoveries will be made advancing our understanding of the ageing process and products that can reduce or reverse the effects more successfully. With the research that is now taking place, many people are confident that in time, more effective, cheaper anti-ageing skin care products will be discovered.
We need to remember that there are many more natural methods we can all use to reduce the signs of ageing. So, getting plenty of exercise and drinking plenty water as well as a full night’s sleep, and let’s not forget the benefits of a proper diet will help us keep the ageing process at bay.
